The Health-RI Limburg node provides data management services to researchers. The cross-organizational infrastructure enables researchers from multiple disciplines to securely share and reuse valuable data from hospitals, universities, and beyond.

Health-RI Limburg works according the FAIR principles, which specify that data and metadata should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Our ambition is to create a learning network of patients, care professionals and researchers with the goal of improving patient outcome.

Showing its regional focus, Health-RI Limburg will be part of the Smart Health Center at the Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen were all health data initiatives of the Limburg region will create an active learning community. In this center, Health-RI Limburg will also actively collaborate with initiatives like DataHub Maastricht, Digital Expertise Center, Sectorplan Data, Brightlands Smart Health ICAI Lab, Brightlands AI Hub, RSO Zuid-Limburg and CumuluZ as we are convinced that care and science encounter the same challenges concerning the use and reuse of care and health data.
